I started hunting waterfowl at the age of 10 on the easternshore of Maryland, i grew up in a small town along the susquehanna river and always had a passion for waterfowling. I had a dream come true in 1978 when i was asked to guide in Maryland and guided till 2000 now i just hunt with a gang of good friends for fun, i love taking kids and new people out waterfowling and teaching them everything i learned over the last 51 seasons, i called in contest for years and now just judge, i love to carve decoys and train dog's and just be around anything that has to do with waterfowling.

I grew up and live in south central Pennsylvania. I started going along hunting with my dad when I was around the age of 4. My dad would take me along with him and I would just sit there with him dreaming of the day I would be hunting. I grew up hunting deer hunting (Bow, Muzzleloader, Rifle). Then I started turkey hunting, It was a way for my dad and I to get out in the spring, and I was lucky enough to get my first this year. Waterfowl hunting was brought to me in 2009 by a very good friend Jason Bachtell, on Youth Day 2009 that day change my life forever. Then I learned calling that’s what got me here with "Shooting The X" every second I get I’m sitting some where blowing my calls. I play Football, Lacrosse, and a member of the Susquehanna River Waterfowlers Association " I want to help more kids get into the sport of Waterfowl Calling and Hunting"

Raised in western pa, I thank my father for introducing me to the outdoors. we spent many a days hunting deer, grouse, turkey, and on the local trout streams and lakes fishing. I relocated to lancaster county after graduation. Where I currently reside with my wife Shannon and our son Kyle. A co worker extended an invite to me to join him on a duck hunt.Well like most of us in the waterfowl community, I was bit. To date I've been waterfowl hunting for 20 years. I enjoy hunting ducks on the susquehanna river as well has hunting canada geese. To make things even more interesting or complicated I was invited on a snow goose hunt back in 1995. All I can say is "WOW WHAT A RUSH" having 500 -1,000 snows tolling your spread and doing the tornado as they pitch in is unreal. At that point there was no turning back.I've hunted snows in new jersey, delaware, maryland and in pa. Those that know me well , know that is where my passion lies, persuing snows. They are very difficult to hunt, but maybe it's the challenge that draws me.It's been a rough road, and a huge learning curve hunting snows but over the last several years we've seen our efforts pay dividends.there's not a year goes by that I dont learn something about hunting snows. I enjoy sharing hunting knowledge, sharing stories with those around, always looking to learn. I try and share with those just starting out, because I think of where would I be if that co worker had'nt extended that first hunting trip offer to me. My son Kyle seems to be following in my foot steps, and can't wait to share his first waterfowl hunt with him!!!!!!! Be safe and enjoy everyday afield.

God Bless
